What sector context changes
VoltMate can present Domestic, Commercial, Industrial or Mixed context so the same workflow uses language that fits the work. Domestic work uses Property, Commercial uses Site and Industrial uses Facility.
The underlying canonical location record remains Property. Sector context changes presentation and optional hierarchy language; it does not create a separate Site or Facility identity.
An existing client type can suggest a sector for presentation, but that suggestion is not an authoritative sector assignment and must not be treated as an automatic migration.
Use sector-aware job labels

Open Jobs and create or edit the correct work record.

Select the correct client and review the sector context shown by the Job workflow.

Choose an existing saved location when it is the correct Workspace Property, or use the manual address option deliberately.

Review the displayed Property, Site or Facility wording as presentation context; the saved job address remains the point-in-time record for that job.
Use the three-phase calculator

Open Calculators and choose Three-Phase Load & Balance.

Enter the three-phase active power, line-to-line voltage and power factor for the calculation you want to review.

Enter L1, L2 and L3 line currents when you want a descriptive phase-current balance result.

Review calculated line current, apparent power, average phase current and imbalance percentage together with the assumptions shown on the page.

Professional boundary
The three-phase tool is preliminary calculation assistance. It does not select cable size or protective devices, prove discrimination, assess all fault/protection requirements, or declare an installation compliant or safe.
Common mistakes
- Treating a legacy client-type suggestion as a confirmed or persisted sector.
- Creating a second location because the UI says Site or Facility even though the same canonical Property already exists.
- Using a calculated current or imbalance percentage as a substitute for the full design, installation data, manufacturer requirements or competent-person assessment.
- Entering phase-to-neutral voltage when the calculator is asking for line-to-line voltage.
Troubleshooting
If the Job terminology does not match the work, check the linked client's existing type and use neutral Site / Property wording where the context is unresolved rather than guessing a sector.
If a three-phase result looks wrong, check the units, line-to-line voltage, power factor and phase-current inputs first. A calculation can only reflect the data entered and the balanced-load assumptions stated by the tool.
