AI tools and professional review

Use VoltMate's AI Fault Finder, Assistant, Observation Writer, Photo Assistance and certificate wording tools without handing professional judgement to AI.

Before you begin

  • Be signed in and have the entitlement required for the AI feature.
  • Remove unnecessary personal or confidential information before submitting a prompt or image.

What AI can do

VoltMate AI can assist with fault-finding ideas, explanations, observation wording, photo-based assistance and drafting text for certificate workflows. Inputs you deliberately submit can be sent to OpenAI to generate a response.

Use AI safely

  1. 1

Open the AI tool suited to the task.

  2. 2

Provide only the information needed for the question; avoid unnecessary personal data.

  3. 3

Review the response against actual site conditions, measurements, manufacturer instructions and current authoritative requirements.

  4. 4

Correct or reject anything that is wrong, uncertain or outside your competence.

  5. 5

Enter authoritative technical values, classifications and declarations yourself in the inspection/certificate workflow.

Hard professional boundary

AI is assistance only. It must not silently decide or alter authoritative test results, observation classifications, certificate declarations or professional judgement. A generated answer can be incomplete or wrong.

Common mistakes

  • Copying AI wording into a record without checking whether it matches the actual defect/site condition.
  • Using a photo response as a substitute for inspection and testing.
  • Submitting client data that is unnecessary for the task.

Troubleshooting

If an AI request fails, do not treat an incomplete/error response as a saved technical result. Confirm your connection and entitlement, then retry only when appropriate. A provider failure should remain a visible failure rather than silently changing certificate data.
