1. Recurring subscriptions and current prices
The current VoltMate Pro list price is £29 per month or £290 per year. The annual option is billed £290 upfront for the 12-month period. A paid VoltMate subscription renews automatically at the billing interval you choose until you cancel renewal.
Before you continue to payment, VoltMate shows the plan, billing interval and price. Stripe Checkout shows the amount due before you confirm the purchase. VoltMate does not add a hidden mandatory VoltMate fee after checkout confirmation.
Monthly and annual plans are separate billing choices. Changing interval, cancelling renewal or updating payment details is handled through Plan & subscription and the Stripe Billing Portal where available.
2. Cancelling renewal
You can stop future renewal through Dashboard → Plan & subscription → Manage billing, or by contacting support@voltmate.co.uk. A clear cancellation request is enough; you do not have to use special wording.
Unless a cooling-off right, refund right or another legal requirement applies, cancelling renewal normally leaves paid access available until the end of the current billing period and prevents the next renewal charge.
3. New subscription — 14-day refund promise
VoltMate offers a full refund of the first paid subscription charge when you request cancellation within 14 calendar days of that initial charge. This contractual promise applies whether you subscribed for professional/business use or qualify as a consumer.
If you are a consumer, this promise is in addition to — and does not replace or reduce — any statutory cooling-off, cancellation, repair, repeat-performance, price-reduction or refund rights that apply to you. Where the law gives you a better remedy, the legal right prevails.
4. Annual renewal grace period
If an annual subscription renews and you did not intend to continue, contact us within 14 calendar days of the annual renewal charge. VoltMate will refund that renewal payment and end or revert the renewed paid access as appropriate.
Monthly renewal payments are not automatically refundable merely because part of the renewed month is unused, unless the law requires a refund, there has been a billing error, or VoltMate agrees another remedy. You can still cancel renewal at any time to stop the next charge.
5. Billing errors and service problems
Duplicate or incorrect VoltMate charges should be reported promptly and will be investigated. Where a charge was taken in error, we will correct it and refund the amount due.
If a paid service does not conform to rights that apply under consumer law, available remedies can include repeat performance, a price reduction or a refund depending on the circumstances. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
6. How to request a refund or cancellation
Use the Contact page and choose Billing, cancellation & refunds, or email support@voltmate.co.uk from the email address connected with your account where possible. Include your account email, the plan or charge concerned, the date of the charge and what you want us to do. Do not send full card details.
Model cancellation notice: ‘I give notice that I wish to cancel my VoltMate subscription.’ Add your name, account email, subscription or purchase date, and the date you send the notice. You may use this wording, but you do not have to.
7. Refund method and timing
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method unless another method is expressly agreed and legally permitted. VoltMate does not charge a refund fee. We process refunds without undue delay and within any deadline required by applicable law; your bank or payment provider can take additional time to display the credit after Stripe has processed it.
8. Complimentary access, promotions and plan changes
Complimentary Pro access has no cash value and there is no payment to refund. A promotion or discount changes the amount paid but does not remove statutory rights. If an interval change creates a Stripe credit or proration, the Billing Portal or checkout flow will show how that change is applied before confirmation where applicable.
9. Consumer rights and future legal changes
VoltMate is designed primarily for electricians and electrical businesses, so many subscriptions will be business-to-business contracts. A person who contracts wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession may qualify as a consumer and receive mandatory consumer protections.
UK subscription law is developing. These terms are intended to preserve mandatory rights automatically: if a new rule gives a consumer a cancellation or refund right that is more favourable than this policy, the statutory right applies even if this page has not yet been updated.
