Billing, subscriptions and complimentary access

Understand Free, Pro, recurring billing, Stripe Checkout, complimentary Pro and the difference between legacy no-charge access and a paid subscription.

Before you begin

  • Be signed in to manage the subscription attached to your VoltMate account.

Plans and no-charge access

Free access has no recurring charge. Complimentary Pro can be granted without a card and does not automatically turn into a paid plan when the complimentary period ends. Some migrated accounts can also show Legacy access; this remains no-charge unless the account deliberately starts a paid subscription.

Start a paid Pro subscription

  1. 1

Open Billing and review the plan, monthly/annual price and recurring-billing terms.

  2. 2

Accept the recurring billing acknowledgement when you are ready to buy.

  3. 3

Choose the monthly or annual Pro option.

  4. 4

Complete the hosted Stripe Checkout flow. VoltMate does not treat merely viewing Billing as consent to charge.

  5. 5

After confirmed payment, return to Billing and verify the displayed subscription state and interval.

Manage, cancel or change billing

When a billing customer exists, Manage billing opens the Stripe Billing Portal for supported subscription/payment-detail actions. Cancellation stops future renewal according to the subscription state; it is not the same as deleting business records.

Read the current Refunds & Cancellations policy before relying on a refund window or renewal rule.

Payment-data boundary

Card details stay with the payment provider and are not stored in VoltMate business records. VoltMate keeps the billing identifiers/status needed to administer the subscription.

Common mistakes

  • Starting Checkout repeatedly because the Billing page has not yet refreshed after a completed payment.
  • Assuming complimentary or Legacy no-charge access will silently become a paid subscription without deliberately completing the paid checkout flow.
  • Treating cancellation of future renewal as deletion of invoices, certificates or other business records.

Troubleshooting

If the displayed plan does not update after a completed payment, avoid purchasing repeatedly. Reopen Billing, then contact support with the account email and Stripe-visible transaction timing if the state still appears wrong. Do not send full card details.
