Account, billing & data

Account security and sign-in

Manage how you sign in, change your password, connect Google, sign out lost or shared devices and keep your profile details up to date.

accountpasswordchange passwordreset passwordforgot passwordsign in

Before you begin

  • A VoltMate account.

Where to manage your account

Open your profile menu in the header and choose Manage account to update your name and profile photo, see the email address you sign in with, and manage your sign-in methods and signed-in devices.

Account & privacy, in the same menu, is where you download your data or close your account.

Change or set your password

  1. 1

In Manage account, find Sign-in methods and choose Change password.

  2. 2

Enter your current password, then the new password twice, and save.

  3. 3

Your other devices are signed out; this device stays signed in.

  4. 4

If you signed up with Google and have no password yet, choose Email me a link to set a password.

  5. 5

If you have forgotten your password, choose Forgot your password? on the sign-in page to get a reset link by email.

Google sign-in and devices

  • Connect Google adds Sign in with Google to your account.
  • Sign out of all other devices ends every other session, for example on a lost phone or a shared computer. This device stays signed in.
  • Your profile photo (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB) is cropped to a square and its location data is removed. It appears in the top menu and next to your community posts.

Common mistakes

  • Sharing one account between people instead of each person having their own.
  • Reusing a password from another site.
  • Leaving a shared or lost device signed in instead of using Sign out of all other devices.

Troubleshooting

Too many attempts means you should wait a minute and try again. If a reset email does not arrive, check your spam folder and that you used the email address on your account. Never send your password to support.
